Second Chance Summer- Morgan Matson

Second chance summer is a novel by Morgan Matson. The main character is a girl named Taylor who has to spend her summer at her families old lake house because of a condition her dad is suffering. He wants them all to spend their last summers together. This novel is a great summer read. It has everything from family bonding to romance and humor. It can be a book for everyone. I loved to overall dynamic of this book and it made me feel really happy. One thing I was not a fan of was the writing style. It made the book seem a lot slower than it really was and at points, I had to put it down to take a break from the slowness. Most of the characters were relatable but I felt that relationships were rushed way to fast and there was no time for development. Overall though, this book is great summer read and if you're looking for a summer vibe, this is the book for you. Rating: 3.4/5
